Sport within our community is key focus area for Denys C. Shortt OBE. This is because Denys played hockey for England in his younger days.

His company DCS Group is the main sponsor of Stratford Town Football Club who play at The DCS Stadium - this is a wonderful new £2 million development donated by the Football Foundation.

DCS Group is also the main sponsor of Stratford-upon-Avon Hockey Club.

We actively encourage sport within the business. We have a DCS netball team and a DCS employee football team.

Stratford Town Football Club

In 2010 Denys Shortt agreed a 5 year sponsorship deal for Stratford Town Football Club. This included the re-naming of the stadium to the DCS Stadium. The DCS Stadium was a £2m investment from the Football Foundation and Stratford District Council. The facility is outstanding and considered one of the best of its kind in Britain.

Stratford Upon Avon Hockey Club

Denys Shortt OBE said “It’s great to sponsor such a major sporting club in the town. This relationship is close to my heart as the first club I played for was Stratford. It was whilst playing there that I was selected for the England Under 16 team."

He continues "I know how important it is for the Hockey Club to have secure funding - hence we agreed a 3 year deal. We are especially keen to support the Junior Academy as this is where the stars of the future will be made.”
